Toronto-based jazz guitarist Joey Goldstein has been performing his original jazz compositions in and around the Toronto area since the early 1980's.

In April 2013 Joey released his second CD entitled The Joey Goldstein Quartet - Thanks Charlie (JG-003) .
This recording presents 8 new and/or previously never recorded original tunes by the leader and features John Johnson on saxophones, Jim Vivian on bass and Vito Rezza on drums.

"wow! joey!! yeah!!... it is just great" - Pat Metheny

In late 1993 Joey released his first CD entitled Joey Goldstein & Friends - A Strange Little Tune.
This album was actually a partial combination of two separate projects (12 tracks in all, totaling almost 75 minutes of music) and contains four tracks from Joey's 1988 cassette-only release, "Time's Square", along with eight newer pieces.
A Strange Little Tune features the talents of Doug Riley and Boko Suzuki on keyboards, Vito Rezza and Mark Kelso on drums, Michael Farquharson on bass, and Rob Bonisolo on tenor saxophone.

In 1988 The Joey Goldstein Band (consisting of Michael Farquharson on bass, Boko Suzuki on keyboards and Mark Kelso on drums) recorded an album entitled "Time's Square".
Although it was only released on cassette, this recording received ample airplay on many Canadian and US mainstream and campus radio stations.

Currently (2014) Joey plays with his own bands around Toronto, teaches jazz guitar at Humber College (in Toronto), plays regularly in the Juno Award winning big band - John MacLeod's Rex Hotel Orchestra and also plays in the orchestra at The Shaw Festival (in Niagara-On-The-Lake).

This place is always TOTALLY under construction and I'm the lone builder, contractor and architect ... just me and my little Mac. So please bear with me and don't get too upset if my pages do funny things to your computer or upset your fine sense of aesthetics because I really don't know what the hell I'm doing! I am merely a guitar player. I make no claims of computer or page layout proficiency!
